Special days

These days there seem to be a lot of special days and weeks that happen through the year.

Last week, for example, had International Day of Older Persons (1 October), supported by the United Nations. Coming up soon will be National Carers Week (12-18 October), honouring and celebrating the essential and valuable work undertaken by unpaid carers, often for the frail and elderly.
