How independent is independent?

Last week in this column I talked about the importance of being ready for “the aged care journey”. By this I meant understanding a little about thesystems  and processes you may need to deal with for yourself or for a loved one when the need arises. That way you can feel more confident and in control over what’s happening, and better placed to get the outcomes you want.
