Shepparton Retirement Villages has closed its facilities to visitors in light of recent outbreaks in New South Wales and Victoria.
We wanted to touch base with you all in light of recent changes to restrictions in aged care as a result of the unfolding COVID-19 status across Victoria.
Due to the current unfolding emerging status of COVID-19 cases in the community, Shepparton Villages is closing facilities to ALL visitors as a precaution. This decision has been made to protect the health and welfare of residents, staff and all other people associated with Shepparton Villages.
Further easing of restrictions in Victoria over the weekend is good news for all in the lead up to Christmas.
Recently there have been significant changes to directives around visiting aged care facilities, and as such we wanted to update you and ensure you are clear on our obligations as a Provider of Residential Aged Care Services, and your obligations as a resident and visitor to our Residential Care Services.
Given Shepparton’s community outbreak last week, we took the precautionary step to close our facilities to all visitors except in the case of visiting a loved one for end-of-life care.

Care Facility Directions from the Victorian Government’s Deputy Public Health Commander have been updated (Version 13) to reflect the extension of the State of Emergency until November 8, 2020.
We have since received further amendments to Directives from the Deputy Public Health Commander.
Shepparton Villages is pleased to report that Maculata Place has this morning received clearance to move from the isolation stage to Active Surveillance in accordance with the Department of Health and Human Services authorisation.
