Due to the current unfolding COVID-19 outbreak in Shepparton with three cases confirmed, Shepparton Villages is closing facilities to ALL visitors as a precaution.
This decision has been made to protect the health and welfare of residents, staff and all other people associated with Shepparton Villages.
The only exemption to this decision will be in the case of visits to palliative residents and visits must first be cleared with Executive Manager of Care Services, Sarah Gaunt on 0411 877 610.
Until we are clear on the situation in Shepparton and surrounds, we feel this is the responsible approach given the full extent of the outbreak is unknown and still unfolding.
Please note, this visitor update supersedes previous visitor policies and comes into effect as of 1 pm today, Wednesday, 14th October 2020. Those who had made appointments to visit our facilities after 1 pm today, under the exemption, will be contacted by Shepparton Villages staff.
If you have visited Shepparton Villages prior to today, we urge you to please check the nominated Shepparton hotspots as listed by the Department of Health and Human Services and follow the advised procedures. Please contact us if you have visited Shepparton Villages and are deemed to be a close contact.
We thank you for your patience and we will keep you updated of this change as more information comes to hand.
With kind regards,
Chief Executive Officer
