We have since received further amendments to Directives from the Deputy Public Health Commander.
The Care Facility Directions from the Victorian Government’s Deputy Public Health Commander have been updated to Version (12), and the link we have previously provided to access Version (11) is no longer operative.
Visits to residential aged care are still only allowed only under a strict and limited basis, however there are some very slight variations within the updated Direction which can be accessed via this link: Victorian Care Facility Directions (No 12).
If you feel your visit meets the exemption criteria outlined in the directives from the Deputy Public Health Commander, you can call the following numbers Monday to Friday. Please note, calls outside the below times will not be monitored. If the number is busy or your call is not answered, please do not leave a message but try the number again.
We still ask that you consider very carefully any request to visit based on the Deputy Public Health Commander’s directives and in line with our goal of protecting the health and well-being of our residents and staff.
As explained in our letter last week, to ensure the safety of all our residents and staff, we are taking a strict and carefully planned and staged approach within the parameters of the Declared State of Emergency that runs until October 11, 2020 in Victoria. We envisage these directives will be reviewed again by the Department of Health and Human Services at that time and Shepparton Villages will also review the visitor policy in line with those directives.
Please find below a revised Restricted Access Assessment form which, should you decide to make a pre-arranged visit, you must complete prior to entering a Shepparton Villages facility. The form can either be completed electronically or printed and completed manually.
Please contact the facility at which your loved one resides to organise assistance with electronic communications and phone calls. Once again, I thank you for your patience and understanding. We will provide further updates as they come to hand.
