Shepparton Villages has now received all second wave test results for residents of Maculata Place.
Of those 116 results, 115 have come back negative and the original resident with a positive COVID-19 result, has again tested positive but is doing well. The residents all remain in isolation at Maculata Place, and our staff are in full PPE.
The Department of Health and Human Services has advised that a third test is required for all residents, and the results will determine the gradual move out of isolation.
Goulburn Valley Health will conduct these tests today (August 18) and tomorrow (August 19), and it is likely results will be received in two to three days.
All Maculata Place staff are following infection control protocols and the Emergency Management Plan, supported by GV Health and the COVID case management team.
The Goulburn Valley Health In-Reach team has been incredibly helpful and we would like to acknowledge their help and support.
Additionally, to our residents and their families - we greatly appreciate your support, your patience and your understanding. We are working hard to ensure we follow all protocols so that we can begin the process of moving out of isolation as soon as possible.
Please note, new CEO Veronica Jamison took up the role on Monday August 17, 2020. Interim CEO Greg Pullen remains with Shepparton Villages this week to undertake handover.
